This is Laphroaig 10 Year Old Cask Strength, Batch 14 from 2021, bottled at 58.6% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the distillery's standard range on Islay and is released in limited batches.
The whisky matured in bourbon casks, then spent time in quarter casks.
The nose is strongly medicinal and smoky, with maritime notes, light caramel sweetness, citrus, vanilla and leather. The palate is full and sweet, with vanilla, caramel, pepper, leather, salty sea air, a little oak and smoke. The finish is long and salty-sweet, with caramel, fine oak and phenolic smoke.
