Laphroaig 10 Year Old is an Islay single malt in a 75cl bottle. The malted barley is dried over a peat fire, and the smoke from the peat gives the whisky its rich flavour. It is full-bodied and a full sparkling gold in colour.
The nose is heavy with smoke, seaweed and a medicinal character, with a hint of sweetness. On the palate there is a surprising sweetness, hints of salt and layers of peat. The finish is lingering.
