Laphroaig Quarter Cask is an Islay single malt in a 75cl bottle, matured twice in American oak. Whisky already ageing in ex-bourbon barrels is moved into quarter casks, a smaller size that brings more contact with the wood and a soft, velvety edge to the distillery's peat.
The colour is full gold and the body full.
The nose has peat embers from a crofter's fireplace, with hints of coconut and banana. The palate is deep, complex and smoky, with a gentle sweetness. The finish is very long, drying with smoke and spice.
