Laphroaig 10 Year Old is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
Peat sits at the centre of it: a pungent, earthy aroma of blue peat smoke comes with the sweet nuttiness of the barley and a delicate, heathery perfume. The name Laphroaig is taken to mean 'the beautiful hollow by the broad bay'.
It can be taken neat or with a splash of soft water.
