Laphroaig 15 Year Old 200th Anniversary Edition is a limited release marking 200 years of the Laphroaig distillery. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is fairly sweet with subtle peat, soft vanilla, mild sugar, ripe banana and green apple. The palate turns smoky and peaty, with a fair amount of pepper, some tannins and a slightly medicinal edge, while the sweetness fades. The finish is long but not overpowering, with peat, nutty notes and a hint of chocolate.
