This is a 15 year old Islay single malt from Laphroaig, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose opens fresh, with orange peel and grapefruit, then the distillery's peat smoke, soft vanilla, dried hay and a little clove. The palate is full, creamy and powerful, with salty sea notes and smoke softened by caramel and honey, juicy peach and ripe citrus, and pepper and warm spice. The finish is long, warming and smoky, with peat smoke, sea salt, dry oak and a hint of ash.
