A 15-year-old Islay single malt from Laphroaig, bottled at 46% in a 700ml bottle. The age statement was first introduced in 1985 and returns to the core range in 2026.
The whisky was matured in first-fill and second-fill American oak bourbon barrels. The malted barley is dried using peat smoke.
The nose has orange zest, grapefruit, dried hay, vanilla and clove with peat smoke and coastal freshness. On the palate come peat smoke, sea salt and cracked black pepper with warming spice and gentle oak sweetness. The finish is long and smoky, with savoury character and a delicate sweetness.
