This is a peated Islay single malt from Laphroaig, finished in PX sherry casks and bottled by the distillery at 48% ABV in a 1 litre bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has added colouring.
The nose offers raisins, liquorice and a distinct peaty note, with sweet marzipan behind.
On the palate, intense peat and heavy oak meet fruity sherry, drying towards the end. The finish is a smouldering cloud of smoke with dry, intense oak, recalling dark chocolate.
