Laphroaig – Quarter Cask

Laphroaig Quarter Cask is a single malt Scotch matured in two stages in American oak casks. The colour is a full, bright gold and the body is full. The oak brings toffee and caramel to the nose, from its vanilla and tannins, along with a dry note from the wood oil. Peat embers like those in a crofter's fireplace come through too, with hints of coconut and banana. On the palate it is deep, complex and smoky, with a gentle sweetness. The finish is very long, moving between sweetness and smoke before drying with spice.
