Laphroaig Select Cask is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, made by combining whisky from different types of cask: ex-bourbon, sherry and new oak.
It keeps the peat smoke Laphroaig is known for, with a smoother, sweeter edge.
The nose is peat smoke, with a little sweetness that may be vanilla or fruit. On the palate it is smoky, medicinal and slightly salty, with a creamy texture and a touch of honey or caramel. The finish is long and warming, with lingering smoke.
