Laphroaig The 1815 Legacy Edition is an Islay single malt created by distillery manager John Campbell in honour of the Laphroaig team members who have produced the whisky over the years. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is aged in first-fill bourbon barrels and new European oak hogsheads.
The nose offers cinnamon-spiced apricots, marmalade and heavy layers of toasty peat. On the palate come TCP, brown sugar and caramel with a hint of raisin, and the finish is robust, with peat lingering.
