Lark – 2016-2021 4 Year Old Berry Bros & Rudd (70cl, 60.2%)

A Tasmanian single malt from Lark, distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2021 at four years old for Berry Bros & Rudd. It is a vatting of three 100 litre casks, bottled at 60.2% in a 70cl bottle. Tasmania's warmer climate and the small casks give the whisky plenty of flavour for its age. The tasting notes describe a nose of citrus fruits, then peach and apricot, with leather and a touch of tobacco. The palate is powerful yet subtle, with vanilla, spice, lychee, strawberry jam, jackfruit and malty notes. The finish is long, with musty fruit lingering on the back of the palate.
