Para 50 II is the second release in the Lark Distillery Rare Cask series, a smoky Tasmanian single malt made at the Coal Valley Distillery. It is bottled at 52.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was finished in Seppeltsfield Para Vintage Tawny casks, which hold half a century of history.
The nose combines sweet caramel, soft vanilla, dark fruit and earthy campfire smoke. The palate is smoky and sticky with caramel and candied orange peel, alongside vanilla ice cream, Black Forest cake, cherry and cream. The finish is long and rich.
