Lark Distillery – Symphony No.1 Blended Malt Whisky (50cl, 40.2%)

Symphony No.1 is the first blended malt from the House of Lark, made from Tasmanian single malt whiskies. It comes in a 500ml bottle at 40.2% ABV. Head Distiller Chris Thomson put the blend together from several cask types: American oak that held bourbon, sherry casks and port casks. The aim was a creamy, oily texture, with the bourbon-cask complexity balanced by sherry and the heavier depth of port. The nose brings fresh mango, toasted pineapple, orange, vanilla and tangerine. On the palate come peaches, apricot, more mango and sweet apples dipped in toffee, and the finish is fresh fruit and citrus.
