Lark Distillery – Wolf Release IV (10cl, 50%)

Wolf Release IV is a single malt from Lark Distillery in Tasmania, bottled at 50% in a 100ml bottle. It is a limited release and the fourth from the distillery's annual barrel exchange with Victoria's Wolf of the Willows Brewery. Head Distiller Chris Thomson chose spirit from the Bothwell Distillery to add a citrus lift to a core of malt, earth, smoke and chocolate. The nose offers bright citrus, toasted coconut, caramelised malt, grapefruit, cocoa powder and oak. Orange syrup, grapefruit, old oak, smoked malt, dark chocolate and toffee come through on the palate, and the finish is smoky and creamy with bright citrus.
