Latitude 55 Canadian Whisky Batch #3 comes from Latitude 55 Distillery in Grande Prairie, Alberta. It is a blend of five selected wheat whiskies, each 3 years old, matured mostly in ex-Kakwa Rum barrels. The rum casks give a soft, sweet profile of caramel, vanilla, molasses and dried fruit. The nose brings wood, caramel, vanilla custard, butterscotch, gingerbread and dried fruit. On the palate are molasses, chocolate, toffee, leather and tobacco, with touches of grape and plum. The finish is short, dry and light, with gentle spice and apricot.
