Winter Solstice 3 is a single malt whisky from Launceston Distillery, bottled at 48% in a 50cl bottle. It shows the restrained use of peated malt that is a signature technique of the distillery.
The nose has gentle wafts of smoke, wood embers, earthy peat, iodine and toasted oak. The palate is smooth, oily and warming, sweet and smoky, with vanilla and burnt caramel mingling with light, earthy peat. Mild smoke and peat linger in the finish.
