Lazzaroni Ambra Dry Marsala is a dry, amber-coloured fortified wine from Marsala in Sicily, in a 75cl bottle at 17% ABV.
It is made from Catarratto, Grillo and Inzolia, fermented to dryness and fortified with grape spirit. The Ambra style comes from the addition of Mosto Cotto, a slowly reduced cooked grape must that gives the deeper colour. Classed as Fine, it is aged for at least one year.
The nose is toasted hazelnut, dried fig, almond and orange peel with baking spice. The palate is dry and light, with golden raisin, caramelised almond, spiced oak and bright acidity. The finish is medium, nutty and citrusy.
