Le Malt is a single malt distilled in Alsace and bottled at 40% in a 50cl bottle. It brings together whiskies matured in bourbon, Banyuls and sherry casks, which were then married. It was the first combination of this kind in the Version Française series, and it contains no added colour.
The nose is soft and floral, with pear, white peach, hazelnut, bergamot and white blossom. Nectarine and Golden Delicious apple meet cinnamon and liquorice on the palate. The finish recalls tarte tatin and pear in syrup, with mild spice, lilac and a green, herbal contrast.
