Ledaig Rioja Cask Finish (46.3%)

This is a Ledaig single malt from the Tobermory distillery on the island of Mull, bottled at 46.3%. It is the first release in the distillery's Sinclair series, made from heavily peated barley and finished in Rioja casks, which give it a ruby red colour. The nose brings Turkish delight, candied orange peel and deep leather. On the palate come candied fruit, grapes and a little pepper, then creamy almonds and sweet malt with Ledaig's smoke running through. The finish is long, with smoke meeting red fruit and a hint of sea spray.
