Lennox Peat is a 13-year-old, heavily peated Highland single malt from Murray McDavid's Spring 2024 Mystery Malt collection. It was distilled in 2011 and bottled at 52.6% ABV.
The spirit was matured first in bourbon hogsheads, then moved to small first-fill bourbon casks from Koval, the craft distillery in Chicago, for five years. These casks give the spirit more contact with the wood than a standard barrel. The whisky is natural colour and non-chill-filtered, and 516 bottles were released.
