Liberator Craft Rye Whisky (75cl, 42%)

Liberator Craft Rye is a small-batch Canadian whisky from Highwood Distillers in High River, Alberta, bottled at 42% in a 750ml bottle. The base whisky is distilled from locally sourced wheat and aged for 5 years in a single-fill used Bourbon barrel. It is then blended with aged rye-grain whisky to bring a more pronounced rye character. The nose shows caramel, vanilla, toasted grain, light fruit and gentle oak. On the palate, sweet wheat, caramel and vanilla give way to rye spice, pepper and seasoned oak. The medium finish stays warming, with rye spice, vanilla and oak.
