Lindores The Cask of Lindores (49.4%)

The Cask of Lindores is a limited edition Lowland single malt from Lindores Abbey distillery, matured for more than three years in bourbon casks. It is drawn entirely from whisky that spent its time in bourbon wood. The strength of 49.4% refers to 1494, the year spirit was first recorded as being made at Lindores Abbey. The bottle design is inspired by the decoration on bricks found during excavations of the old abbey. The nose is soft and fruity, with pears, red apples, caramel, sweet vanilla and a touch of creamy citrus. The palate brings creamed apples, citrus and cream caramels, and the finish is of medium length with peppery spice.
