This is a Caol Ila from Islay, bottled for the Artist Collective series from La Maison du Whisky. It was distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2017 at 6 years old, drawn from a batch of six casks, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV.
The colour is pale straw gold. Smoke leads the nose, with a little honey sweetness and peat mixed with salty minerals. The palate is smooth and creamy, with clear smoke that stays gentle. The finish carries pepper and saltiness, then lemon and spice.
