Lochlea – 7 Year Old First Fill Bourbon Barrels (70cl, 50%)

Lochlea 7 Year Old is the oldest bottling so far from this family-run farm distillery, which the distillery presented around the birthday of Robert Burns. Lochlea's fields are the same ones Burns once farmed. It matured in first-fill bourbon casks, some of them among the first the distillery ever filled. It is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour. The nose opens with stewed apple. On the palate there is tropical fruit, gentle oak spice and a creamy texture. The finish brings buttery pastry, cereal, soft spice and fresh green apple.
