Lochlea – Cask Strength Batch 1 (60.1%)

This is a single malt from Lochlea, a Lowland distillery near Mauchline in Scotland, built on the site of an 18th-century farm. Cask Strength Batch 1 is bottled at its natural strength of 60.1% ABV. The nose brings ripe fruit, burnt caramel, toasted oak and spice. On the palate there is creamy vanilla, dried fruit, cinnamon and liquorice in a velvety texture. The finish is long, with toasted oak, candied fruit and spice.
