Lochlea Dark Briar is a Scottish single malt from Lochlea Distillery, bottled at 46%. It is peated and lightly smoky in character, and was matured in carefully chosen oak casks.
The nose offers soft peat, toasted wood, dark chocolate and subtle spice, with a discreet touch of fruit. The palate opens round and warm, with caramel, honey, light smoke and ripe fruit in a balanced texture. The finish is long and lingering, marked by smoke, spice and wood.
