Lochlea – Harvest Edition 3rd Crop (70cl, 46%)

Lochlea Harvest Edition Third Crop is a small batch single malt from the independent, family-run Lochlea Distillery, a working farm distillery in Ayrshire, Scotland. The Third Crop is the last release in the distillery's seasonal series. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtering or added colour. The whisky was matured in refill bourbon barrels, port hogsheads and an oloroso sherry butt. The nose is fruity and creamy, with red grapes, fresh strawberry jam and cream. The palate is sweet, with baked apple pie and white chocolate, and the finish is well balanced with a little freshly ground black pepper.
