Lochlea – Our Barley (70cl)

Lochlea Our Barley is a single malt from the Lochlea distillery near Ayr, in the south of Scotland. It is the first bottling to be put together and bottled under Distillery Manager John Campbell. The whisky is a blend of first fill bourbon barrels, first fill oloroso sherry butts and first fill STR hogsheads. Its colour is copper to gold. The nose offers peach syrup, fruit sweets and freshly cut grass, with vanilla and caramel turning to marmalade. On the palate there is more spice, with Golden Syrup, pepper, rye bread, roasted nuts and fresh cream. The finish is rich and spicy.
