Our Barley is a Lowland single malt and the first permanent single malt from the small farm distillery Lochlea. It is bottled at 46% ABV.
The whisky is matured in a combination of first-fill bourbon casks, Oloroso sherry butts and STR wine casks (shaved, toasted and recharred). Lochlea is one of few distilleries to use only barley grown on its own farm.
The nose is pear syrup and fruit sweets. The palate moves from fresh fruit and cereal notes to macadamia nuts and orange beeswax.
