The winter expression from Lochlea, this is the third crop of the Ploughing Edition. It was matured entirely in ex-Islay barrels.
An extra year of ageing and the use of peated casks give a smoky character.
The nose offers fresh green apple, sweet toffee and Lochlea's cereal notes. Fresh fruit leads to savoury smoke and malted biscuits on the palate. The finish brings coastal sea salt and a long, lingering hint of peat.
