Ploughing Edition is the fourth limited seasonal release of single malt from Lochlea distillery in Ayrshire, launched on Burns Night 2023. It is inspired by winter and by Lochlea Farm, where Robert Burns lived and worked from 1777 to 1784. It is the first smoky whisky from the distillery, matured in a combination of ex-Islay whisky barrels and peated quarter casks, which give a warming, lightly peated character. On the palate there are cooked apples, brazil nuts and boiled sweets, with peat smoke lingering throughout.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
