Ploughing Edition is a single malt from Lochlea, a distillery on a working farm in South Ayrshire, Scotland. It was matured in ex-Islay casks, a choice that followed John Campbell, formerly distillery manager at Laphroaig, joining the Lochlea team.
The nose combines honey, vanilla, peat smoke and dried fruits. The palate is sweet smoke, honey and spice. The finish is long, with honey, vanilla, wood and peat smoke.
