Lock Stock & Barrel 25 Year Old is a Canadian rye whiskey made from 100% Alberta-grown rye. It was distilled in 1999 at Alberta Distillers in Alberta, fermented with koji and double-distilled in copper pot stills.
The barrels were hand-selected by the late founder Rob Cooper and spent 25 years in oak. It is bottled at 55.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle, with 250 bottles released worldwide.
The nose shows deep caramel, dried fig, cinnamon bark and clove. The palate brings leather, dark honey and rye spice, well integrated with the long oak age. The finish is very long, with oak tannin, dark honey and faint peppermint.
