Lombard Golden Harvest Pure Malt Scotch Whisky (40%)

Golden Harvest is a blended malt Scotch whisky bottled at 40% abv. It was introduced in 2001 by Lombard, a company based on the Isle of Man, as part of the Illustration Malts series, and was designed as a style to drink with dinner. The nose is medium in weight, with caramel toffee, butterscotch, caramelised fruit and some oak. The palate is drier than expected, with prune, walnut and chocolate, though the wood dominates, and the finish is short. The official description speaks of modest malt sweetness and balanced layers of peat and oak spice.
