Long John Particular Special Reserve (75cl, 40%)

Long John Particular Special Reserve is a blended Scotch whisky in a 75cl bottle at 40%. It combines Highland, Island and Strathclyde whiskies and was distilled, blended and bottled in Scotland by Long John Distilleries. The nose is fresh, balanced and malty, with toasted cereal, straw and yeast, then ripe orange, peach, vanilla and heather honey, and a faint trace of old wood and smoke. On the palate it is dry, warm and powerful, with a creamy, oily texture, pure malt, toasted almonds and spice from the oak. The finish is medium to long, dry and warm, with fine wood, cereal and thin threads of smoke.
