This is a 16 year old single malt from Longmorn, a Speyside distillery founded in 1893 and in production from December 1894. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky has matured for at least 16 years in a mix of casks: American oak that previously held bourbon, mostly first fill, together with European oak that previously held sherry.
The 16 year old has won two silver medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, in 2008 and 2009.
