First fill Oloroso butt
This is a 17 year old Longmorn from Speyside, distilled on 30 October 2008 and matured in a first fill Oloroso butt, cask no. 1240. Bartels Whisky chose it for its Highland Laird range of single casks and bottled it in 2026 at a cask strength of 53.1%, without chill filtration or added colour. The outturn was 455 bottles. The sherry butt shapes the whisky with dark fruit, nuts and spice. On the nose there are ripe raisins, walnut and chocolate. The palate brings cinnamon, clove, dry oak and a touch of orange over a malty base, and the finish is long, with coffee, dark chocolate and spicy wood.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
