This is a Longmorn distilled in 1973 and bottled in 2015, a small batch Speyside single malt released by Elgin independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail in its Distillery Labels range. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 43%.
The whisky was between 41 and 42 years old when bottled. It shows clear sherry character, with rich fruitcake and patisserie spices on a palate that is gentle yet powerfully flavoured.
