This is a Longmorn single malt from Speyside, chosen by Gordon & MacPhail for its Private Collection. It was distilled on 30 May 1975, matured in a refill sherry hogshead and bottled on Christmas Eve 2021 at 42.1% ABV. It has no added colouring and has not been chill-filtered.
The nose has dark cherries and ripe plums with a pinch of cinnamon and light oak. The palate brings blackberries, blueberries, dates and sultanas alongside dark chocolate and spicy tobacco. The long finish holds dark berries and well-integrated oak spice.
