Longmorn – 1992 Signatory Vintage 27 Years Old Cask Strength Collection (70cl, 42%)

This is a 27-year-old Longmorn single malt from Signatory Vintage, distilled on 10 April 1992 and bottled on 12 April 2019. It is bottled at 42% in a 70cl bottle, from a sherry hogshead that gave 59 bottles. Longmorn stands on the edge of Elgin, next to the BenRiach distillery. It has produced whisky since its founding in 1893 and is one of the few distilleries never to have closed. The nose is complex, with sherried fruit, butter, honey and sweetness. The palate is velvety, with dark sherried fruit, sweet honey and toffee, leading to a soft, long finish.
