Longrow 100 Proof is a cask strength single malt from Springbank in Campbeltown, bottled at 57.1% in a 70cl bottle. This is Batch 1 of the 2025 edition, a limited bottling.
It was matured in bourbon barrels and Pinot Noir red wine casks, giving a smoky, fruity profile with almond and earthy peat smoke.
The nose shows medicinal peat smoke wrapped in redcurrant. On the palate it is softer, the smoke turning earthy and damp, with crème brûlée, vanilla and almonds. The finish recalls red fruit gums with strawberry and marzipan, ending in the long, smoky finish typical of cask strength Longrow.
