Longrow 100 Proof Batch 1 (70cl, 57.1%)

Longrow 100 Proof Batch 1 is the first release in the 100 Proof series from Springbank Distillery, a heavily peated Campbeltown single malt released in 2025. It is bottled at 57.1% ABV, which is 100 proof on the British scale, without chill-filtration or added colour. The spirit matured for about four years in refill bourbon casks, then for a little over two more years in refill Pinot Noir wine casks. The series replaces the earlier annual Longrow Red releases. The nose is medicinal peat smoke with TCP, red currants and red wine fruit. The palate is soft and oily, with earthy smoke, crème brûlée, vanilla and almonds. The finish is long, with cola cubes, strawberry sweets and marzipan over lingering peat smoke.
