Longrow 100 Proof Edition Batch 2 is the 2026 limited release of the heavily peated malt made at Springbank in Campbeltown, bottled at 57.1% ABV.
It matured first in ex-bourbon casks and then spent two and a half years finishing in Rioja wine casks.
The nose mixes redcurrant and vanilla with savoury hints of prawn, salami and pepper, over a fine ashy smoke. On the palate, strong peat smoke meets tobacco and cigar smoke, with dark fruit and leather. The finish is long and warming, with chilli heat, a touch of cherry menthol and dry smoke.
