Longrow 18 is a limited edition peated single malt from Springbank in Campbeltown, distilled in 2004 and bottled in 2022 at 46%. It matured entirely in sherry casks, giving a fairly dark colour, and it is bottled without added colouring or chill-filtration.
The malt is dried over peat smoke for 48 hours.
The nose brings barbecued spare ribs, leather, earth, peat, nectarines, raisins and a little menthol. The palate offers sweetness, blackberries, honey, caramel, orange zest and peat. The finish is earthy and peaty, with honey-glazed bacon and tobacco leaf.
