The first release in the Longrow 21 Year Old series, distilled in 1998 and bottled on 2 October 2019 at 46%. Only 3600 bottles were filled.
It matured 60% in sherry casks and 40% in bourbon casks, and it is non-chill-filtered with no added colour. The malt is dried over peat smoke for 48 hours, which gives a smoky character alongside the sweet, fruity notes.
The nose is led by sweet sherry with warm spices, ripe pineapple, brown sugar and toffee. On the palate come dark forest fruits, ripe red apple, juicy oranges and berries with a touch of pepper, and the finish is rich, warm and dry.
