Longrow Peated Malt (70cl, 46%)

Longrow Peated is the heavily peated, twice-distilled style made by Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It combines whisky from ex-bourbon and sherry casks, is not chill-filtered and has no added colour. Smoke is set against a creamy sweetness, with herbs and rich fruit completing the contrast. The nose is very creamy, recalling vanilla custard, with the smoke opening slowly and toasted marshmallow, herbs and rich fruit following. On the palate it is full-bodied, creamy and balanced, with a light medicinal note and smoke that spreads in waves. The finish is long, with gentle smoke lingering.
