This is a 2007 Lowland single malt from an undisclosed distillery, bottled in 2021 by Elixir Distillers as Parcel No.7 of its Reserve Casks. It matured for 13 years in two ex-bourbon barrels and one ex-sherry butt, and the bottling comes from those three casks alone. It is bottled at 48%, without colouring or chill-filtration. The nose opens sharp with grapefruit pith, then turns to juicy raisins and grape bubble gum with a flinty edge. The palate brings grapefruit juice, shortcrust pastry and burnt caramel, and the finish stays tangy, like concentrated lemon juice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
