Lux Row Four Grain Double Single Barrel is a barrel-proof Kentucky bourbon from Bardstown, bottled undiluted at 57.5% in a 750ml bottle.
It joins two single barrels, each 4 years old. One is a wheated bourbon (51% corn, 45% wheat, 4% malted barley) and the other a rye bourbon (60% corn, 36% rye, 4% malted barley). Each recipe is aged on its own before the two barrels are married.
The nose is earthy with fresh-cut grass and violet, then lemon, pear and caramel. The palate is light in texture and herbal, moving to cinnamon, orange peel, cocoa, coffee and dry oak. The finish is moderate, with soft caramel, spice and oak.
