Mac Dugan Old Scotch 1970s

This is a vintage blended Scotch whisky from the 1970s, sold under the Mac Dugan Old Scotch name. The nose is layered, with heather, honey, wax, leather and grass, and a faint trace of orange jam, dates, prunes, nuts and chocolate. On the palate there are dried fruits, walnuts and grain, with a mellow, rounded mouthfeel. The finish is waxy and fruity, with leather, cherry and chocolate lingering, and a touch of light grain burn.
